The class schedule is published on the LMS portal. Students can attend the classes through live webinar sessions conducted on weekends. These sessions are conducted by SMEs from the University and Industry Experts. These sessions are joined by students across India and from abroad. Key concepts on each subject, case studies and real life examples are discussed. Students also get chance to clarify their doubts / academic clarifications. If by any chance a student misses these live classes, the recorded sessions will be uploaded on the Learning Management System (LMS). Student can watch the recorded lectures from their portal. Note: - The recording of the classes will be made available on the Learning Management System (LMS).
The assignments can be submitted through Learning Management System (LMS) portal. The LMS access is given to the students at the beginning of the session. • MBA, BBA, BCA and PG programs :- Number of assignments- 2 per subject.
Note: Students will get 3 attempts to clear each assignment & the highest marks secured out of 3 attempts will be taken for consideration. Students can see the marks scored for the submitted assignments on Learning Management System.

Semester examination shall be conducted at the end of each session at University Campus. It is mandatory for the students to register for the semester examination. Student can register themselves for the examination by filling up the online Exam Registration form on the Student portal. The exam notification is always published under the Notifications Bar on the UPES ON.
Student ID card will be issued one week before the beginning of first semester examination. The same can be downloaded from the UPES ON portal and retained throughout the session.

Each student seeking to acquire their Bachelors or Masters Degrees in Management from this University, needs to successfully complete a Dissertation Project. Semester result will be declared by end of every semester. The result/grade card can be checked from the UPES ON student portal.
Students in all undergraduate programs (BBA/BCA) will maintain a GPA, SGPA and CGPA of 5.0 on a scale of 10.0. For these students the passing criteria for each individual subject shall be 'C' or equivalent of 4.0.
Students in all graduate and post-graduate programs (MBA/PGP) will maintain a GPA, SGPA and CGPA of 6.00 on a scale of 10. For these students the passing criteria for each individual subject shall be 'C' or equivalent of 4.0.

Provisional Certificate will be issued on request to any student who is eligible for award of degree from the University, if he/she has completed all the academic requirements of the program and has secured the minimum SGPA/CGPA required. This Provisional Certificate shall be valid till the time original degree is awarded to the student.
A student is eligible for award of degree by the University, if he/she has completed all the academic requirement of the program and secure the minimum SGPA/CGPA required. The award of the degree will be done by the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun, in the annual convocation ceremony.
Degree will be awarded to students MBA, BBA and BCA programs during the convocation. For rest of the programs Passing Certificate will be issued.
Centre for Continuing Education at UPES (UPES ON) provides utmost importance to resolution of student queries in a structured and timely manner. Each student is allocated a dedicated Program Coordinator, who are the point of contact for all student queries.

Students resorting to Unfair Means in any component of evaluation in the Program will be taken very seriously. Faculty members/Course Coordinators/Invigilators/Proctors would bring such instances of the use of unfair means to the notice of the Examination Committee immediately, so that appropriate disciplinary action can be initiated after examination of evidences provided.
Any student adopting unfair means including talking or in possession of notes, books, mobile phones, searching for responses online etc. would be conferred zero (“0”) in that examination.
Such students would not be able to appear in the examination till the next examination cycle.
All UPES ON students are advised to pay their Semester fee by the 15th of June and 15th of December every year, for the July and January Sessions respectively. For April and October Sessions the Semester fees need to be paid by 15th of March and 15th of September respectively. The Fee can be paid via the following three modes:

A student doing a program through online education has to register himself/herself for each semester to become eligible to appear for the university examinations. Though the students have the flexibility to choose their pace of Learning and Academic Progression, it is recommended that the students to get re-registered to the subsequent higher semester/module by paying the re-registration fee as per their fee payment plan at the beginning of a session within the prescribed deadlines. Re-registration to the higher semester is mandatory to become eligible to appear for the university examination for existing students.
The student has to only pay for the total number of semesters/modules of the program he/she has registered for. The University does not charge any extra fee for any additional Semesters/modules allowed to the student within the prescribed norms of the University.
Students registered for a MBA Program of 2 years, is allowed a flexibility of 2 more years (4 semesters) to complete their academic requirements towards the completion of their MBA Program. The student however needs to pay for only for the 4 Semesters (2 years) of the prescribed duration of the MBA Program.
The students not paying the fee later than the last date of payment as mentioned in the Fee Invoice sent, can re-register to the subsequent Semester/module by paying an additional fee of INR 1000/- over and above the prescribed Semester/Module fee.
Students who are unable to appear for any examination within thr program tenure may request an extension of *n+2 years to appear for the examination. Please note that 'n' refers to the stipulated tenure of the program.
The Merit of the Case and the review of the current academic/fee status of the student is considered on case to case basis. However the approval for extension is completely upon the discretion of the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor.
Students who do not register for the subsequent semester and fail to submit their semester registration fee for two consecutive semesters will be deregistered from the program.
